A study reported by the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management examined graduates of charter high schools’  and the effects on their future. The study compared two groups,  graduates of charter high schools and graduates of public district high schools. The conclusions were charter school graduates had higher maximum annual earnings of $2,300 when they reached ages 23-25. In addition, students attending charter high schools are 7 to 15 percentage points more likely to graduate and 8 to 10 percentage points more likely to enroll in college compared to public district high schools.
